
The Somatic Yoga Path is a virtual experience designed to guide you back into relationship with your body
gently, intentionally, and over time.
This is not just a class, but a seasonal journey.
Together, we move through cycles
honoring the rhythms of nature and the natural changeswithin our own bodies.
Each practice invites you to slow down, soften, and shift your awareness from the busy mind into the wisdom of the body.
Through slow, intentional movement, breath, and presence,
you’ll begin to unwind tension, reconnect to sensation, and cultivate a deeper sense of ease from within.
How You Can Practice
You’re invited to join live each week on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM (EST) via Zoom,
or practice in your own time with access to our growing library of recorded classes.
Inside the online space, you’ll also find a supportive community — a place to ask questions,
share your experience, and receive guidance along the way.
At the heart of this experience are our monthly group gatherings.
These live Zoom sessions are devoted to deeper support, reflection, and meaningful connection
a space where practice becomes personal, and community naturally unfolds.
All sessions are recorded, so you’ll always have access.
The Practice
Somatic yoga is an invitation to listen.
A gentle, meditative approach to movement that reconnects the mind and body
through awareness, breath, and subtle, intentional motion. Rather than pushing or striving, we practice allowing.
Allowing yourself to feel.
Allowing patterns of tension to release.
Allowing your body to guide the experience.
This work supports nervous system regulation, increased body awareness, and a grounded sense of calm that extends far beyond the mat.
Accessible to all bodies and all levels of experience, this is a practice rooted in permission, presence, and self-trust.

My name is Christy Miu in 2016, I opened Creekside Wellness, a sweet small-town massage and yoga studio paired
with a wellness and metaphysical shop in downtown Athens, Tennessee.
Over the years, both the business and my personal path have expanded and contracted in
rhythm with life—always evolving and always guided by the flow of the universe.
For several years I have had the honor of facilitating healing retreats and circles for women, many who are just beginning their healing journey. Creating safe and supportive spaces for women to reconnect with themselves is one of the greatest privileges of my work.
Alongside my yoga and energy work, my journey as a Licensed Massage Therapist has deeply shaped the way I approach healing. My focus has evolved toward the study of the lymphatic system and Manual Lymphatic Drainage, as well as practices that support the release of stored trauma through movement, breath, and body awareness.
I believe the body carries our stories, and when given the right support, it also knows how to release and restore balance.
I am honored to serve as a guest teacher and speaker for Yoga Teacher Trainings, festivals, conferences, and special events.
One of the most meaningful parts of my journey has been training others to teach yoga, attuning students to Reiki energy, and holding sacred space for women as they begin their paths of self-love, self-awareness, and personal transformation.

My own path as a student of yoga began in the early 2000s. Since then I have completed many hundreds of hours of training through White Crow Yoga of Nashville, Sacred Awakening / Asmi Yoga of Oregon, Chattanooga Yoga Center, the davidji Meditation Academy, and Pranamaya, where I studied Functional and Yin Yoga under Paul Grilley.
Since 2017, I have also been studying the Toltec Path with HeatherAsh Amara, author of Warrior Goddess Training, focusing on Leading with Love leadership, Warrior Heart coaching, and walking the Toltec path with awareness and integrity by living The Four Agreements.

Alongside my healing and bodywork offerings, I also embrace the mystical and intuitive side of wellness.
My intuitive sessions include natal birth chart readings, oracle and tarot card readings, and palm readings
—tools that invite reflection, insight, and deeper connection to one’s personal path.
I love sharing this lifestyle with anyone who feels called to better their life and reconnect with their inner wisdom.
When I began my own healing journey, I faced many challenges.
I remember thinking:
This can’t be for me.
I’m not flexible.
I’m too stressed.
I’m traumatized.
I’m not fit enough.
What I discovered changed everything:
You don’t adjust your body to fit yoga—you adjust your yoga to fit your body.
And you don’t force life to fit your expectations—you learn to move with the rhythm of life.
I believe deeply in the transformative power of wellness and am dedicated to helping others move toward greater health, balance, and wellbeing.
